Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 cup diced apples
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with a little coconut oil or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well-blended.
In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until fully combined.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples and ground cinnamon (if using).
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, then cut into squares and enjoy.
