Watermelon Lemonade is the perfect refreshing summer drink, combining the sweetness of watermelon with the tanginess of lemons. This homemade lemonade recipe is not only easy to make but also offers numerous watermelon juice benefits, such as hydration and essential vitamins.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed (seedless for best results)
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
4 cups cold water
Lemon slices for garnish
Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
In a blender, add the cubed watermelon. Blend on high until smooth, about 30 seconds.
For a smoother texture, strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large bowl, discarding the pulp.
Juice the lemons and strain the juice to remove seeds or pulp if desired.
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cold water. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Pour the watermelon juice into the pitcher with the lemonade base. Stir gently to combine.
Refrigerate the watermelon lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow it to chill.
Pour over ice in glasses and garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint.
