Ingredients
Scale:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
8 slices brioche bread (or thick cut white bread)
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Butter or oil, for cooking
Strawberry syrup (store-bought or homemade)
Whipped cream topping
Fresh strawberries, sliced (optional)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Take a slice of brioche bread and spread a generous amount of the cream cheese filling on one side. Top with another slice of bread to create a sandwich.
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or oil.
Carefully dip each st■ sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
Place the soaked sandwiches onto the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Transfer the cooked French toast to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess butter. Keep warm in a low oven.
Stack the st■ French toast on plates, drizzling with strawberry syrup and topping with whipped cream and fresh strawberries if desired.
