This easy-to-make, no-cook appetizer captures the vibrant flavors of summer with its fresh tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a hint of balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients

- 4 large ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 baguette or a selection of crackers
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, and minced garlic. Stir gently until well mixed.
- Drizzle the balsamic vinegar and olive oil over the tomato mixture. Stir gently to incorporate the liquids evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let the dip sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
- While the dip is resting, prepare your baguette by slicing it into ½-inch thick slices and optionally toast them.
- Once the dip is ready, serve it in a bowl alongside the toasted baguette slices or crackers.
