  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Carefully add the seasoned tilapia fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and broth, stirring to combine. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked tilapia fillets to the skillet, spooning the creamy garlic sauce over the top.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
