These cheesy pepperoni pizza bombs are a fun and delicious appetizer filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and savory pepperoni slices, ideal for game day or any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
3/4 cup milk, preferably whole
1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup pepperoni slices, cut in half
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and garlic powder if using. Stir well.
Gradually add in the milk and vegetable oil, stirring until a soft dough forms. Adjust with more flour if too sticky.
In a medium bowl, mix the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and Italian seasoning. Combine thoroughly.
Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and flatten each into a round disc. Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a ball and pinch seams to seal.
Place dough balls seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and dried oregano.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Optionally sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
