A dessert that embodies the essence of summer, bursting with sweet, juicy peaches and topped with a golden, crispy oat topping.
Ingredients
Scale:
6 cups fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced (about 8-10 medium peaches)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix gently until the peaches are well coated. Allow the mixture to marinate for about 10 minutes.
In another bowl, prepare the oat topping by mixing together rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine thoroughly.
Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly and well combined.
Spread the peach mixture evenly into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Evenly distribute the oat topping over the peach filling.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
